NOMSA MOTALE

ABSTRACT | Paint | Photographer | Free-spirited creative

Hi, I’m Nomsa Motale; a portrait photographer based in Soweto, South Africa. My work is all about capturing the quiet strength, unique beauty, and everyday stories of the people I photograph.

I’m inspired by the world around me; natural light, subtle emotions, spontaneous moments, and the rich textures of daily life. Whether I’m shooting outdoors or in more intimate settings, I pay close attention to composition, depth, and light to bring out the essence of each person I work with.

Portrait photography allows me to connect with people on a deeper level, and I love creating images that feel both honest and expressive. My goal is always to make my subjects feel seen, celebrated, and at ease in front of the lens.

My photography is also about encouragement and the love of God. I believe God exists in all of us, and every time I capture an image, whether of a person or a moment, I’m reminded of who God is. It’s a reflection of the truth that no matter who someone is, where they come from, or what they have or don’t have, we are all equal and deeply loved.

My work has been featured in exhibitions such as the Parkhurst Pop-Up Gallery and The Gauteng Pop-Up Gallery in Newtown. I’m always excited to grow, experiment, and tell new stories through my lens.
